it started with my nani’s aalmari
My love for Indian clothing started with my nani’s aalmari, or closet. I loved watching her unlock the doors and pull out saris of different fabrics from colorful piles stacked neatly up to the ceiling.
Some of my fondest memories from my childhood trips to India revolve around shopping for clothes. It always made me feel close to my culture. The many beautiful pieces my mom and my nani have in their closets serve as my inspiration.
